Popular Retirement and Assisted Living Community Grows to 106 Apartments
Building on years of success as the region’s premier assisted living, retirement, and memory care community, The Saybrook at Haddam has completed an extensive expansion project to meet growing demand. The new addition includes 19 apartments in the Safe Harbor memory care neighborhood (for residents suffering from Alzheimer’s, dementia and other memory-related disorders) along with six new one- and two-bedroom apartments in the independent and assisted living part of the community. The community now offers 106 apartments for individuals or couples.
Additionally, the 15,000-square-foot project includes wonderful improvements to Safe Harbor such as an enlarged dining area, a fully enclosed courtyard with walking paths and patio furniture, cozy spaces for conversations and socializing, and a stunning “great room” with cathedral ceilings and oversized windows that overlook the courtyard. These new spaces, which maintain the same village-inspired décor of the existing building, allow Safe Harbor residents to thrive and enjoy a high quality of life.
