A Community within the Community
No discussion of The Saybrook at Haddam would be complete without understanding the deep historical connections to the extraordinary town of Haddam Connecticut. Picturesque and serene, Haddam has played major roles in the community and cultural life of Central Connecticut since its founding in 1720. The history of Haddam dates back even further to 1660, when the Connecticut Colonial Legislature sent Matthew Allyn and Samuel Willys to buy land from the Wangunk Indian Tribe.
